Professor Sumita Srivastava: Full Professor of Entrepreneurship at Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI)

I am Professor Sumita Srivastava, a full professor of entrepreneurship at Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI), a deemed-to-be university in Agra. My academic journey has been profoundly intertwined with my passion for entrepreneurship, particularly the entrepreneurial journeys of women.

At DEI, my focus is on teaching and conducting research that explores the creation and growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). I am particularly interested in understanding the complexities women face in setting up and sustaining their businesses. My research is dedicated to uncovering the unique challenges and opportunities encountered by women entrepreneurs, and I am actively involved in projects that aim to empower and support them.

As an active member of the Agra chapter of the All Women Entrepreneurs group, I engage with fellow professionals who share my commitment to advancing the cause of women in business. This group provides a platform where I contribute my expertise and insights to foster a supportive environment for women entrepreneurs in our region.

Beyond my academic and professional pursuits, I am also a researcher and writer. I have authored numerous papers and articles on various aspects of entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on women-led businesses. My work aims to offer valuable insights into the entrepreneurial landscape and to inspire more women to embark on their own entrepreneurial journeys.

My passion for entrepreneurship extends beyond the classroom. I am deeply invested in the stories and successes of the women entrepreneurs I study and support. Through my work, I strive to make a meaningful impact on the entrepreneurial ecosystem and to champion the contributions of women in business.
